Robins are often seen on Christmas cards, because their blood-red breasts are a reminder of the blood of Christ, and (in England) because they are one of the few birds that does not migrate to warmer countries in winter. Due to their tenacity, they served as the inspiration for Batman's sidekick, Robin, the Boy Wonder.
