A congressional district is a district region within a state that holds elections to elect a single member to Congress. There are 435 congressional districts in the United States House of Representatives, and the Census Bureau determines how many congressional districts are in each state.
The United States, Philippines, and Japan are the only three countries that have congressional districts.
