Tebowing is the act of kneeling on one knee, resting your head on your fist and giving thanks. It is named for Tebow's fashion of public prayer, although some Christian critics have denounced such open practice as this, citing Matthew 6:6.

However, Tebow's act can be considered simply an expression of faith and thanks, rather than a prayer. That Tebow bows to God on the field does not mean that he does not also pray to him in private.
