Seung-Hui Cho was a 23-year-old socially isolated Korean man who committed suicide after murdering 33 people at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007.
Cho was in America on an F-1 student Visa. He had lived in the U.S. for fifteen years, since his parents immigrated when he was eight years old.[1]
His creative writing teacher said she notified authorities about Cho based on disturbing writings that he had submitted as classwork, but said she was told that there would be too many legal hurdles to intervene. [1]
