Lyon is located at the convergence of the Rhône and Saône rivers where the medieval city and beyond that two large hills give panoramic views of the city.  Lyon is a  [[UNESCO]] [[World Heritage Site]] and tourism is an important industry, along with film, finance and light industries.  A large basilica, the Notre-Dame de Fourvière, looks over the city from the western hill and nearby there are Roman amphitheatres which are the largest outside of [[Italy]].  Lyon is known to be a capital of French cuisine.
