===Distance of Oldest Star to Earth===
The Book of Genesis implies that the distance of the oldest star to Earth is how far light would travel during the age of mankind: about 6000 light-years. In 2014, a team of researchers discovered that what they believe to be the oldest star yet discovered. It is indeed only 6000 light-years away.<ref>http://www.astrobio.net/pressrelease/6012/the-oldest-star-in-the-known-universe</ref> Of course, stars further away have been discovered, and the farthest visible stars are 13.8 billion light-years away. This is why many [[atheism|atheists]] believe that the Universe is 13.8 billion years old. However, this ignores the possibility of light being created in transit. For more information, see the [[starlight problem]].
