I have experienced this site go down several times with a "504 error" or a "500 error". Has anyone else experienced this and does anyone plan to fix this? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by QWERTYL (talk)
- I've seen suggestions that this is the result of some kind of DDOS attack. I doubt it for two reasons: First, I don't think there are a significant number of people who consider Conservapedia to be harmful; there are an enormous number of web sites out there, many of which are disliked by some people. Second, and more importantly, the symptoms are not consistent with a DDOS attack. They suggest that an admin is tinkering with the software. One of the things that I see is a page saying that I need to log in. This is an option that the wiki software provides to administrators. Some wikis operate that way; Conservapedia does not. I suspect that the setting of that option was temporary collateral damage to some ongoing administrative work. Let's all be patient and hope that things clear up soon.
