The Pre-Raphaelites (Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, PRB) was a Victorian-era group, which started originally as an art movement and grew to include poets and writers. The paintings of the Pre-Raphaelites often featured an extremely high degree of realism (would now be called photorealism); religious and Arthurian themes; and pictures that explicitly told a story, or a part of a story.
