Kari Lake (born August 23, 1969) is a Trump-endorsed Republican candidate for governor of Arizona in 2022, and a former newscaster in Phoenix for Fox 10 News. She left the network due to its leftwing bias and anti-liberty coverage of the coronavirus issue.[1] Even liberals admit that she has "the Trump-style charisma."[2] Along with President Trump, she has received the endorsements of patriots such as Arizona congressman Paul Gosar, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, and former Trump national security adviser Michael Flynn.
Lake is a rising star in the conservative movement, and has become extremely popular in the short time she has been a candidate, speaking at Trump rallies and at CPAC.. She is a strong advocate for election integrity, continuing to stand against the fraud of the 2020 Presidential election, and has also called for the arrest of fellow gubernatorial candidate and Democratic Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, as well as Fake News journalists.
Pro-Trump, she far outshined a conservative crowd in Phoenix on July 24, 2021 and pledged that if elected she would:[2]

Lake was originally a registered Republican until 2006, when she left and became an Independent in response to the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. She supported John Kerry in the 2004 Presidential Election and Barack Obama in the 2008 Presidential election and registered as a Democrat in 2008. She switched back to the Republican Party in 2012. Lake cites President Trump, Ronald Reagan and Arizona Republican Party chair Kelli Ward, all former Democrats, as precedent for her run.

Lake is considered the frontrunner. Other leading GOP candidates include:[3]

- Karrin Taylor Robson, a former member of the Arizona Board of Regents, which runs Arizona's three public universities
- Matt Salmon, a former congressman and 2002 GOP gubernatorial nominee
- Kimberly Yee, the State Treasurer and a former state legislator
Lake has more name recognition than her rivals, due to having been a television news anchor on Fox in Phoenix market for more than 20 years.[4]
