:::::My man, Israel's signature war literally has "six days" in the title. The Yom Kippur fighting in '73 was done in less than three weeks. They were in and out of Lebanon in '06 in just over a month. Their reading of "long" here is not what you think it is.
:::::It is kind of cute, though, that you're so patently thirsty for Iran to set the region on fire when all they really plan to do is throw the Palestinians under the bus for their own short to medium term tactical benefit. I suspect they've got a pretty clear idea re. how much of a pasting they'll allow Hezbollah to take before ordering them to throw in the towel and regroup. They've likely even got their eye on the diplomatic brownie points available for facilitating the eventual ceasefire. The Iranian government is too stupid for words. Israel is a natural ally of Iran against the twin threats of Wahhabism and the Muslim Brotherhood, but the Ayatollahs are so fanatically antisemitic that they would rather pick fights with the Jewish state than focus on the enemies that actually want to destroy their country, for purely ideological reasons. They are just as delusional as the neocons and neolibs who pick fights with Russia for purely ideological reasons...--Geopolitician (talk) 23:20, October 8, 2023 (EDT)

:That's a very good observation. It's not just in the West and NATO countries that we have a leadership and media totally out of touch with their populations. RobSGive Peace a Chance! 23:30, October 8, 2023 (EDT)
