I have always seen that faith means that one KNOWS not beliefs something is true without any proof.  It does not matter if one is saying that I know that Christ died for my sins, or that I know there is one God but Allah and Muhammad is his profit, or that I know that Zeus may send lighting bolt down on me, or that I know that the is know God or gods.
