I should very much like to have signed up to this. I know that my knowledge of American history is very deficient (although less so since I have found Conservapedia). However, as I am currently on a PhD programme researching a topic of modern British history, I feel that I have enough on my plate! I wish you well with this, Andy and all your students, and hope that you all find it challenging and enjoyable. Although not participating actively, I'll be reading with interest.
