Lemonade, in the United States, is a sweet beverage composed of sugar, lemon juice, and water. Lemonade is usually served chilled, often over ice and sometimes with a slice of lemon.

As well as being drunk on its own, this sort of lemonade can be mixed with beer to make a shandy, added to wine and other ingredients to make the Spanish drink sangria, or served as a mixer with spirits.
