Cafeteria Christianity is a term implying that someone decides for himself which parts of the Bible to accept, as one might select certain foods in a cafeteria,[1] and implies that the person is a Christian in name only. Other terms include "salad-bar Christianity" and "cherry-picking Christianity." It is a commonly used epitaph by Christians attempting to declare that their version is the only correct one and everyone else is just cherry-picking the parts of the bible that appeal to them.
