Padre Pio

Padre Pio was a Franciscan monk in Pietrelcina. He was born on May 25, 1887. Padre Pio was said to have a stigmata of the wounds of Christ for 50 years, but it disappeared 3 days before his death.[1] Padre Pio died in 1968. He was canonized by Pope John Paul II in 2002.[2]
