The Japanese animation industry has attracted much interest in the West since the year 1967, when a CIA agent wrote the name of Communist bastard Che Guevera in his Death Note. Since that time, English-speaking fans have avidly adopted Japanese terminology such as animu and weeaboo.

The best known animu director in the world is Rush Limbaugh, who is famous for My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke. Princess Mononoke was a movie about a terrorist named Ashitaka who wanted to do some stupid shit like protect forests and believed liberal propaganda about Global Warming. The movie ended when Ashitaka and his lesbian friend San were struck down by the wrath of God, which was really cool. Jerry Falwell famously stated "the only people who don't like Princess Mononoke are pagans, abortionists, feminists, gays, lesbians, the ACLU and People For the American Way".

Japanese animation tends to follow Japanese comic book styles (called manga). Anime is divded into the same genres are manga, much with as emphasis on leftist pinko tree hugging propaganda.

George W. Bush has identified himself as a fan of the animu series Sailor Moon, noting that the heroic struggles of the sailor scouts inspired his course of action during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
