Irish language

Irish (Gaeilge) is a celtic language spoken in a number of areas of western Ireland known as the Gaeltacht; it is the official language of the Republic of Ireland although the population is largely English-speaking. Irish is similar in form to Gaelic, spoken in parts of western Scotland.
