Flying Spaghetti Monster

"Pastafarianism" is the worship of a flying pile of spaghetti and meatballs as a God. Pastafarians call their God the "Flying Spaghetti Monster." They worship him by eating spaghetti and dressing in pirate regalia. Members of the religion also hold pirates in high esteem, claiming that they were good men whose deeds were perverted by the media. They cite the decline of their heroes to the increase in carbon emissions over the past centuries, instead of attributing it to the true cause of public resentment and more efficient naval operations.

Logical Shortcomings

Unlike Christianity, the religion of Pastafarians falls apart under any sort of inspection. The pirates, who they elevate to near godhood beside their flying bowl of pasta, have been proven to historically be a violent, bloodthirsty group, not the child-loving persecuted pacifists the Pastafarians believe them to be. Also, the very idea that carbon emissions could affect pirate population is absurd. It belongs with discarded, poorly-backed theories like global warming.
