Parthian shot

A "Parthian shot" is a criticism leveled by someone as they leave a group. It is named after the Parthians, who where ancient peoples of Parthia who had the unusual habit of shooting arrows at their adversaries while retreating on horseback.--Aschlafly 13:43, 12 March 2007 (EDT)
