Politically incorrect is a term that can be used to describe words, ideas, or actions that do not conform to certain standards of so-called tolerance set up by the media and others in popular culture.

Examples

  • The idea that global warming is caused by human activity and is an imminent danger that needs to be averted.
  • Anything negative said about a black person.
  • The Idea that the establishment clause does not prohibit public displays of religion.
  • Belief in Intelligent design
  • The Idea that Faith and reason are not opposed to each other
  • the use of the word "he" (as opposed to "he or she" or "(s)he") and other masculine pronouns to refer to humans in general
