Y.M.C.A. stands for Young Mens Christian Association.
The YMCA is a not-for-profit community service organisation.
Founded in London in 1844.
Originally a men (and boys) only facility the YMCA has changed to admit women (and girls).
There used to be a equivalent group for women only called the YWCA.
