Amalekites

The Amalekites were a group of bandits in the Bible.
After the Amalekites attacked the Israelites, the LORD commanded Moses to kill everyone of them (including women, children and infants). Many Bible scholars concur that this was a necessary act and the Amalekites deserved it.[1]
Like other tribes such as the Edomites, the Amalekites were named after a man, Amalek, from whom they were believed to be descended.
