Fomalhaut b is the first observed planet outside our solar system, orbiting around the star Fomalhaut. The planet has a mass three times that of Jupiter. The Fomalhaut system is 25 light-years away in the constellation Piscis Australis or "Southern Fish."

NASA astronomers have spent seven years using the Hubble Space Telescope to locate planets.
