Brady requires almost perfect pass protection in order to do well, because he tends to throw well only when stationary and upright.  When the opponent has a strong pass rush, as the Giants and Ravens do, then Brady underachieves.  The addition of the [[pro-life]] [[Tim Tebow]] to the Patriots in 2013 gives the coach the option to switch to a better athlete against opponents who pressure the quarterback.
