:Thanks Rob for the comment. I think that Congress has power to subpoena any document from the EXecutive branch by any way Congress chooses to use, tho the president can object with executive privilege.  ([[User:Thunkful2|Thunkful2]] ([[User talk:Thunkful2|talk]]) 19:20, 4 August 2017 (EDT))

::Yes, but Congress must be specific in it's requests. Sen. Grassley's recent serious of requests to DoJ are  [https://www.grassley.senate.gov/news/news-releases/grassley-examines-potential-conflicts-top-fbi-official’s-role-russia-collusion a  good object lesson. He must first cite public knowledge of certain known facts, than specifically demand production of documents for "any and all matter related to" whatever cause of the Congress in all investion. On the receiving end, DoJ is always looking for loopholes in Grassley's requests to avoid full disclosure. If Grassley makes no specific request of documents pertaining to Seth Rich, portions in other documents relating to the existence of a Seth Rich file are redacted out. Heretofore we had no knowledge of a federal Seth Rich investigation - such allegations were relegated, according to reputable sources, as Alex Jones conspiracy stuff. Now Grassley has the legal tools to demand production if documents, but first other known rep utabke publications must pick up on Hersh's statements and give them credibility.
