The template currently creates dates as wikilinks, ie
<nowiki> }}{{#if: {{{accessdate|}}}</nowiki><br>
<nowiki>| . Retrieved on [[{{{accessdate}}}]]</nowiki>
The linking also takes place when an archivedate is used, ie
<nowiki>[[{{{archivedate}}}]]</nowiki>
