:::Nick seems to think Russia or China would be willing to protect American dissidents the way America protects dissidents of foreign regimes. It's important to note that Nick has been heavily targeted by the federal government, who seized his assets and put him on a no-fly list. I don't think either of us can fully understand Nick's thinking on this matter if we haven't been similarly persecuted. He feels like Edward Snowden or Julian Assange. He has lost faith in the system to the point where he looks elsewhere for pragmatic and mutual support.
