To feed the shareholders and employees of the [[military industrial complex]], and the campaign chests of members of Congress with donations from [[Pentagon]] contractors who are awarded contracts. It sure isn't to defend the American people, [[democracy]], or [[freedom]] (heck, we can't even vote for the candidate of our choice, let alone get him sworn in after he wins). Everyone should know this from our experiences in [[Vietnam]], [[Afghanistan]] and [[Ukraine]].
