Etymology
Palestine
Palestine (from Latin: Palaestina; Hebrew: פלשת Pleshet, פלשתינה Palestina; Arabic: فلسطين Filastīn, Falastīn) is a name sometimes given to part of the land that generally comprises the Holy Land or Old Testament's Promised Land given to the Israelites / Jews in that part of the Bible. The Romans renamed the territory as Syria Palestina in 132-135 AD, who was inhabited by Jewish people at that time. The Romans also renamed Jerusalem to Aelia Capitolina and the Second Jewish Temple was pulled down in A.D. 70 by them.
