:l'me 'splain. Russia has Naval Infantry, which is akin to US Marines. The Pacific Naval Infantry are already deployed to Ukraine. So in the event of war with [[NATO]], Russia's Far East is exposed to invasion from the US, Canada, and Japan. Hence North Koreans are picking up the slack on Russia's Far Eastern coast under a mutual defense agreement.
