Everyone is missing the point. It doesn't matter what the editors consider him to be, it's how he identifies himself and how other sources identify him. I thought this was supposed to be an encyclopedia? That's what encyclopedias do, they report the facts. And the facts say that Phelps considers liberals to be evil, no external source considers Phelps to be a liberal, and the listing him as "liberal" here is just an attempt to remove his stigma from the conservative side.
