Saddam was terrible for the Iraqi people but just fine for us. Now we've basically handed all Iraq's resources to the pro-Iranian Shia and the communist Kurdish rebels, while throwing away the chance to stabilise Afghanistan by putting enough resources in early enough to make a difference.
