Talk:Self-driving car

I'm not into technology but I keep seeing headlines on the subject. Is there anyone that can bring this article up to date? (Try not to mention Verne, H.G. Wells or Darwinism.)

Thanks David. Actually, the concept worries the foof out of me. I'm Australian so I drive on the right-hand side of the car (on the LH side of the road). Sitting in the front seat of a taxi or other vehicle in mainland Europe or the Middle East or America is hell for the first few days. It's OK if I am the driver, but... .

These scare me a little too, but maybe not as much as you. Perhaps having a technology background makes me more trusting...which might not be a good thing. Anyway, I made an attempt at improving this. As you can see on the main page, I moved it to autonomous car, since that is the proper name for these contraptions.
