WMD

Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) refers to nuclear, biological or chemical weapons so powerful that they can kill many thousands or even millions of people. The term was most commonly used as a justification for the American invasion of Iraq in 2003 and the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, who was suspected of building WMD.
