Compromise Bill

A compromise bill is the revised version of a bill that is created by a conference committee after the House and Senate pass different versions of the same bill. The differences of the bills are reconciled, and the compromise bill is then returned to the House and Senate for final approval. No amendments are allowed, however.[1]
