World History Homework Two

Read the lecture carefully.

Answer 5 out of 7 questions below:

1. Ancient Greece: when, where, and why is it important in history?

2. What is your favorite Aesop's Fable, and why? Explain what people learn from it.

3. Rank the three greatest Greek philosophers chronologically, with two sentences about each one.

4. The homeschooled Alexander the Great: what did he achieve?

5. Write 150 words on any aspect of the lecture, such as the wars of Ancient Greece, or describe 3 important terms from the lecture in a study guide format (that is, a good, concise description of each of three important terms from the lecture).

6. Greek architecture: what do you like about it? Explain.

7. Discuss one of the ancient peoples (such as the Hittites, Assyrians, Chaldeans, or Persians) and how they are mentioned in the Bible.

Honors Questions (answer any 2 in addition to the above questions)

8. Write an essay of 200 words on any aspect of one or more ancient languages, such as their development or origins.

9. Sparta compared with Athens: what were advantages and disadvantages to each?

10. Discuss any aspect of the lecture.
