War for Oil is an liberal anti-war myth. This term was often used during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Three facts about this myth and the War in Iraq
- The United States supported the oil embargo by the United Nations against Iraq.
- The United States is very oil-rich. It has more oil than Iraq.
- After the war China has benefited more than the US. The oil trade between Iraq and China has doubled almost 34 times.[Citation Needed]
