AMD64

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by PhilH (talk | contribs) at 08:00, December 11, 2014. It may differ significantly from current revision.

AMD 64, or x64 is a instruction set used in all modern microprocessors, with the exception of Sparc, and geode processors. First implemented by AMD, it was quickly copied by Intel, and Nvidia. Although Intel has its own x64 set, the Itanium, it is far inferior to the AMD64 bitset.
