The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) is the union for football players in the NFL.
Like many unions, the NFLPA sometimes works for the special benefit of a few well-connected individuals rather than focusing more on helping the long-term future of the average worker. For example, in 2015 the NFLPA filed a lawsuit seeking to overturn the 4-game suspension of Tom Brady despite his role in an extensive cheating scheme.
