Music Hall is a type of British variety theatre, popular in the late Victorian era and Edwardian era. It can be compared to American vaudeville.

Popular performers included the young Stan Laurel, Fred Karno and Gracie Fields.

Music hall songs are noted for their intriguingly verbose titles - examples include:

A Little Bit of Cucumber

A Thing He Had Never Done Before

Bang Went the Chance of a Lifetime

Down the Road

Every Little Movement

The Future Mrs. 'Awkins

If It Wasn't for the 'Ouses in Between

I'm Henery the Eighth

Little Bit Off the Top

The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo

Oh! Mr Porter

Our Lodger's Such a Nice Young Man

The Swimming Master

Two Lovely Black Eyes

Waiting at the Church

When I Take My Morning Promenade

Young Men Taken in and Done For
