Doner kebab

A doner kebab is an item of Graeco-Turkish cuisine that has become popular in the United Kingdom. It consists of a pitta bread containing slices of cabbage and tomatoes, and the reconstituted meat of a lamb (or other local animals) very slowly roasted on a lukewarm vertical revolving spit over many days. Doner meat can include several of the following components: eyeball, connective tissue, eyelid, hoof, ear, fat, ligaments, bone fragments, lean meat.
