Here are two quotes from Paul Cameron, chairman of the Family Research Institute of Colorado Springs:

  • the 1%-to-3% of adults who practice homosexuality account for between a fifth and a third of all child molestation. [1]
  • Not only is the gay rights movement upfront in its desire to legitimize sex with children, but whether indexed by population reports of molestation, pedophile convictions, or teacher-pupil assaults, there is a strong, disproportionate association between child molestation and homosexuality. [ibid]

Even though they are pro-homosexual, the Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance admit the following:

  • Within the Roman Empire of the 1st century CE, many boys or young men (called "catamites") were kept as under-aged prostitutes by older men. They were usually slaves. [2]
  • Child sexual abuse is widespread. It is perpetrated by males in the vast majority of cases. And a substantial minority of their victims are boys. [ibid]

There is tremendous denial in the gay rights movement about homosexual activity, based on the semantics of "identity" and so forth. Anything to justify the abomination, I guess. --Ed Poor 17:58, 28 April 2007 (EDT)

I'm fairly certain the spelling is actually Polly Klaas... I did a quick Google search to verify it. DanH 23:19, 28 April 2007 (EDT)

"Klaas" is correct; my apologies to the Klaas Family for getting the spelling wrong. Karajou 00:30, 29 April 2007 (EDT)

Improvements

If possible, future editors may want to do several things for this article.

  • Provide more information as to dealing with, and helping victims of, child sexual harassment.
  • Add more info as to recent cases of individuals who committed such crimes; if the suspect has not been proven guilty in court, use the word "alleged."
  • Provide help group information in the links section.
  • Add more information concerning identified organizations that promote such crimes, but DO NOT add links to their home pages.
