Steven Levitt

Steven Levitt is a liberal economist and co-author of Freakonomics, a book falsely claiming legalized abortion contributed to a drop in the crime rate in the 1990s (a phenomenon accurately attributed to conservative social policies). Levitt's theory has been compared to Eugenics.[Who says?] He supports the privatization of prison labor and online gambling, opposes teachers' unions, and denies climate change.[1]
He was born May 29, 1967, attended St. Paul University and graduated from Harvard University with a B.A. in economics in 1989, and received a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[2]
