Template:Expand The soul is a vital concept within many religious traditions, including Christianity. The soul is considered to be the eternal element of an individual.
Most Christians regard the soul as the immortal essence of a human - the seat or locus of human will, understanding, and personality.
After death, an individual's soul continues to exist for eternity. If the individual was a true believing christain in life, then his soul will spend eternity with God the Father. However, should an individual have turned from the path of christanity in life, then his soul will spend eternity in the realm of Lucifer.
