Ecole de Paris is a term to designate a group of artists like: Amedeo Modigliani (1884 - 1920) Andre Lhote (1885 - 1962), Juan Gris (1887 - 1927), Marc Chagall (1887 - 1985) and Maurice Boitel (1919 - 2007).
During the first decade of the 20th century, numerous painters and sculptors migrated to Paris, which had become the international nexus for avant-garde art. [1]
