SODIMM (or SO-DIMM, short for "small outline dual in-line memory module") is a type of temporary (RAM) memory module for computers, which has the relatively small form factor of only 67MM in length. Conversely, DIMM chips are almost twice as long, measuring in at 133MM. SODIMM is therefore used in smaller devices such as laptop computers and tablets.
