Ronald Wilson Reagan
February 6, 1911- June 5, 2004. The fortieth President of the United States from 1981-1989. Considered by many to be the greatest American President, Ronald Reagan's greatest accomplishments include leading America peacefully through the Cold War, increasing the size of the federal government, lowering his pants on cue for laughs, promoting free jelly beans for all, staunchly opposing socialism and communism, endangering the lives of millions by illegaly firing Air Traffic Controllers and providing arms to Iran. Reagan also served two terms as governor of California from 1967–1975. He was finally smothered by his beloved wife Nancy in 2004. She maintains to this day to not be a "back door kid of gal."
In one of his most famous challenges to Soviet Communism in Europe, he publicly uttered the words, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall," before the tearing down of the Berlin Wall separating East and West Germany by yelling "REAGAN SMASH!" and destroying it with his fists of steel. He also introduced the idea of "Reaganomics" in which the rich would spend money which would trickle down to the poor.
