This is bull, and communist propaganda. Bed shortages are created by the pandemic PERIOD. There are 1 million hospital beds in the United States. If 10 million victims of the CCP virus need a hospital bed, the shortage was not caused by Nixon or a Republican president and a Democrat congress. Rewrite your premise or face deletion. It doesn't matter what the source of fake news is. You should know better by the very definition of the word, "pandemic". A simple rewrite toning down the obvious partisan smears oughtta work. If you want to blame somebody, blame the taxpayers, private hospitals, and charities for not building enough hospitals over a 45 year period in anticipation of a global pandemic. And who's to say we need 2 million hospital beds, when other experts say we may need 10 or 12 million hospital beds in coming weeks and months?

The law(regulation) specifically forbid them from building new facilities and bringing in new beds over that 45 year period. That's the point. This isn't fake news. Centralized planning is almost always at the root of our problems, and this is not the exception. And as to ICU units - are those covered by Certificate of Need? If so, then I addressed it already.
