Umar Daud Khattak is a Pashtun activist that advocates for the formation of an independent Pashtunistan out of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Khattak has said that since 2007, the Pakistani Military has been shelling and bombing Pashtun towns to make way for terrorist training camps.[1]

Arrest

Umar Daud Khattak was reportedly arrested in August 2019 by Pakistani law-enforcement at the Torkham border crossing between Afghanistan and Pakistan.[2]
