Waffles in France

A waffle is a food similar to a pancake. A basic waffle consists of mixing flour, eggs, water, and milk into a paste, which is then poured into a waffle iron, which cooks the mixture and provides the necessary texture. Waffles can be jazzed up with varying fruits, incorporated directly into the mixture. Waffles are traditionally topped with butter and maple syrup.
